چکیده
1 Background Agriculture sector occupies the centre stage in shaping India’s socio-economic status. The economy of the second most populous country in the world is inextricably linked to the pulse of its agricultural success or failure. India has witnessed a significant increase in food grain production after green revolution, oilseeds production after yellow revolution, milk production after white revolution, fish production after blue revolution, and fruits and vegetables production after golden revolution, since independence. The agricultural development has been achieved due to the application of science and technology coupled with the positive policy implementation, and hard work of Indian farmers (Ahuja 2000). However, after nearly three and half decades in the post-green revolution period, the country still faces crisis each year in trying to meet the burgeoning demand for food by its growing population. Thus, the need of research and development in the field of agriculture for increasing the application of frontier technologies (i.e. information technology application in agriculture, precision farming, post-harvest technologies, mechanized farming and organic farming) cannot be denied, which is a feasible Abstract

متن کاملClimate change effects on economic growth: mixed empirical evidence
West Africa is vulnerable to the effects of climate change. This paper analyzed the impacts of climate change on economic growth in Anglophone West Africa with similar background, during the periods 1969-2016. Five growth model equations have been developed to incorporate climate change variables into the model. Panel data estimations such as the fixed effect model, random effect model and Haus...
متن کاملOn Approximate Stationary Radial Solutions for a Class of Boundary Value Problems Arising in Epitaxial Growth Theory
In this paper, we consider a non-self-adjoint, singular, nonlinear fourth order boundary value problem which arises in the theory of epitaxial growth. It is possible to reduce the fourth order equation to a singular boundary value problem of second order given by w''-1/r w'=w^2/(2r^2 )+1/2 λ r^2. The problem depends on the parameter λ and admits multiple solutions. Therefore, it is difficult to...

متن کاملIsolation and molecular characterization of bacteria to heavy metals isolated from soil samples in Bokaro Coal Mines, India
In recent years, environmental pollution by coal mining is a long-established human activity affecting all levels of life with various environmental impacts by generating heavy metals. The presence of heavy metals even in trace amount is toxic and detrimental to all living organisms. The coal mine area in Bokaro is one of the “Toxic Hotspot” in India. Bacteria have evolved uptake and efflux mec...
